What is Tarot?
Tarot is a divination system that uses a specific set of 78 illustrated cards. It is a popular tool in many spiritual and holistic routines. Tarot is used to gain an insight into the past, present and future.
Each card has a unique meaning and interpretation, and the reader uses these cards to answer questions or provide guidance on various aspects of life.
Tarot has been used for centuries and remains a popular form of guidance today. Many people are drawn to Tarot cards and readings because it can provide insight on various topics, including love, career, and personal growth. While some may view tarot as a form of fortune-telling, it is important to note that Tarot readings are not meant to predict the future but to provide guidance and insight into the present moment. Some people see Tarot as a way to peer into the future or examine hidden aspects of a situation, while others use it as a therapeutic resource or simply as a support for thinking outside the box and creating a sacred moment for themselves.
Tarot is a spiritual and holistic practice and like with all holistic practices you must trust your intuition above all else. Each person who reads Tarot may interpret tarot cards differently which is the beauty of Tarot card reading!
How Can Tarot Help You?
Tarot cards and Tarot card readings may have mental health benefits such as soul care and creating an open dialogue with yourself. It can also be used to open mental and creative blocks. Some of the other common areas of interest in a reading include: Relationships, Family interests, Healing, Education, Career, Love life, & Spiritual awakenings.
When Should You Know About Tarot Readings?
As a rule of thumb, a professional Tarot reading should be done once every 5-6 months, not more than this. It is not recommended to get a Tarot reading every week or month. While there is no “perfect” time to get a professional Tarot reading, you may choose to do so on days that are special for you, such as the first of the month or on a New or Full Moon for personal and spiritual reflection.
What Not to Do with Your Tarot Cards and Readings
While Tarot cards are a great tool to provide alternative insight and interpretation to your current situation, you should not use Tarot cards and readings to make decisions. If you are unable to make small decisions in your life without consulting Tarot cards or a Tarot reader, then you may have a problem.
Relying on Tarot cards or Tarot readings can cause tensions in your relationships because one person must constantly run to the cards for confirmation for every decision. This is not helpful in building a good solid team because it puts a third person or energy into the relationship (your partner and the cards). To build healthy and strong relationships and connections it is important to work with your significant other with open communication and dialogue.
Do not turn to Tarot cards or Tarot reading to make financial decisions. You should make financial decisions based on reason and understanding of your financial situation and markets.
The warning signs that you have a Tarot card or Tarot reading addiction come when you have anxiety over making a choice without consulting Tarot or a Tarot reader.
There is good news! Tarot addiction can be easily remedied. If you find yourself in this situation then next time you are making a choice, make it through a feeling within your body. Allow your intuition and reasoning to help you decide, do not rush when making a choice either. Remember, the right decision involves thought and patience.
It is important that you work with a Tarot reader that is right for you.
What Are Tarot Cards and Oracle Cards?
Both Tarot cards and Oracle cards are types of decks that are used for insight, perspective, clarity, personal growth, inspiration, coaching, and divination. Tarot historically follows its own set of rules laid out by original masters and has ancient roots. It has 78 cards that are divided into two groups: the major arcana, which has 22 cards, also known as trumps, and the minor arcana, which has 56 cards. The cards of the major arcana have pictures representing various forces, characters, virtues, and vices.
Oracle Decks are structured differently based on the artist who has designed the deck, they don't have a set number, meaning or rule which is why Oracle cards are freer flowing and a visually more creative and symbolic way to tap into your inner wisdom intuition, and to gain clarity.
What Tarot Cards Do We Use?
For Tarot card readings we use the The Smith-Waite Centennial Tarot Deck in a Tin. This is a faithful reproduction of the original deck created by Pamela Colman Smith in 1909 under the direction of Arthur E. Waite.

They are usually the decks with softer images with a watercolor finish.

Her style is light, soft, nurturing, and direct. She interprets the Tarot cards intuitively by focusing on the symbols and messages that feel relevant to explore in the current energy to provide clarity and guidance from both a spiritual and philosophical foundation. She interprets the Tarot cards from her personal reflection, her own personal and spiritual growth, and her educational background to provide her clients with clarity, inspiration, and perspective. She delivers the information carefully while giving room for her clients to ask questions and form their own connection to the Tarot cards and information provided. There is flexibility in her approach which helps foster an intimate reading and relationship to the cards.
